Voices matter. The experience of the recent referendum on First Nations constitutional recognition in Australia demonstrates that local people in remote communities have a voice and want to be heard. This issue brings out the voices of First Nations people and other rural community members to tell their stories about what is imprortant to them as it relates to rural and remote education and research.
